Dan grew up in Downingtown, PA and now resides in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. He is an alumnus of Temple University, where he graduated with a degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, and Mass Media with a focus in TV Production.

He has produced projects for Drexel University, Eastern University, Pennsylvania Environmental Council, Gas and Electric Arts Theatre Company, the Bryn Mawr Film Institute, and non-profit organizations like Yes! And..., The Simple Way, BuildABridge, and PA Mentor.

Dan describes himself as an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and is also a Phillies season ticket holder.
